This will be our 4th MAACON at the Laughing
Lotus.
Have you ever
wondered why the Laughing Lotus cares about Anime?
Meet Evan Caldon
The Laughing Lotus is dedicated to Evan.
Evan died in 2005, at the age of 14. He was hit by a car on his way to school at MCAA. He & his dad had stopped to help a stranger get his jackknifed horse trailer and vehicle out of the middle of the road; so they wouldn't cause an accident.
Evan LOVED Anime!!! He loved going to the different Cons. Evan was a very talented artist. He loved to draw, create new characters and stories and he loved spending time with his friends.
So the Laughing Lotus wants to provide a place to continue the love, laughter, creative arts, and highlight our amazing local talented young people in the Yuba Sutter Area.
This year, MAACON is on Evans Birthday, Oct.12th. How cool is that!! So we will be celebrating with cake for everyone & celebrate anyone else who has a birthday in Oct.
So get your party hat on and let's have a great time!!!
